3月3日はひな祭りをしました。ひな祭りについて学んだあと、子供達は廃材を利用してひな人形を作成しました。完成すると人形で遊び出す子供達。お迎えに来たお母さんお父さんへ見せる姿がとても可愛らしく見られました。
On March 3, we had Hina-matsuri, the Doll Festival. After learning about the Hina-matsuri, children made mina dolls out of scrap material. Children immediately started playing with the dolls they made so well. They looked so cute as they showed their dolls to their mothers and fathers who came to pick them up.

バレンタインの制作では大きなハートのお手紙と封筒を作りました。好きなお友達へお手紙を書き、ボックスへ投函、午後にお手紙がお友達に届きました。「I got some letters」「This is from Marin!!」と嬉しそうに見せ合う子供達でした。
For Valentine’s Day, we made letters and envelopes with big hearts. The students wrote letters to their favorite friends, put them in the box, and received the letters in the afternoon. Kids were so happy to show each other and said “I got some letters” “This is from Marin!
節分を行いました。
鬼は英語で「demon」といいます。
お庭外は「Demon out」福は内「Good luck in」
子供たちは大きな声で豆を投げ、鬼を退治に挑戦しました！

We had Setsubun, a traditional Japanese festival in which people celebrate the beginning of spring.
The watchwords were “Demon out(Oniwa-soto)” and “Good luck in(Fukuwa-uchi)”.
The children threw beans and tried to knock out the demon!

この日の小さい子供たちのクラス活動は、いくつかの英語の歌に合わせ踊ったり、歌ったり、ゲームでは色を探したりしました。
また、それぞれのペースで進めるワークブックでは、アルファベットに色を塗ったり、線で繋いだりしました。子供たちは自分のページが終わると「I did it!!」と元気な声で先生を呼ぶ声が教室に飛び交っていました。

The little ones danced, sang along to songs, and played color-searching games.
They also worked on their workbooks at their own pace, coloring and connecting the big and small letters. When they finished, they called out to their teachers with their cheerful voices, “I did it!”
12月はクリスマスについて学びました。ツリーをみんなで準備したり、クリスマスパーティーの出し物の練習をしたり、子供達は毎日ワクワクしながら過ごしていました。クリスマスパーティーでは、歌や楽器、ダンスの発表を行い、スペシャルゲストも登場！子供達は目をキラキラさせて英語でサンタクロースとの会話を楽しみました。
Christmas Party 2024
In December, we learned about Christmas. The children were excited every day as they prepared the Christmas tree together and practiced their Christmas party entertainment. At the party, they enjoyed singing, playing musical instruments, dancing, and a special guest! The children enjoyed talking with Santa Claus in English with sparkling eyes.

英語だけの授業に最初は緊張しましたが、馴染みのある歌やフレーズが多いので、私自身も家で子供への声掛けに継続しやすかったです。私の子は先生やお友達にカラーボールやアルファベットのパネルを貰うと「Thank you」と返事を返し、家では習った歌を口にするなど、とても成長を感じる事ができました。
毎年恒例の運動会が開催され、たくさんのご家族にご参加いただきました。
子どもたちは、ダンス、かけっこ、綱引き、玉入れ、クラス対抗の競技に全力を尽くしました！今回から綱引きを再開し、子どもたちはお父さん、お母さん、先生と対戦することに大興奮でした！とても楽しい運動会でした。
We had our annual Sports Day and we had many families attend.
The children did their best in dance, running, tug-of-war, basket ball, and class competitions! We reintroduced tug of war to the competition and the children were very excited to compete against their mothers, fathers, and teachers! It was a very fun Sports Day.😁
