Happy Halloween!

この日は好きなコスチュームで1日を過ごしました。

先生も個性豊かな衣装でお出迎え「Goodmorning！」子供たちはお気に入りの衣装のポイントをたくさん教えてくれました。

近くの商店街へパレードに出かけ、街の皆さんへ「Happy Halloween！」と声をかけパレードを楽しみました。ゲームやクラフト、歌などを1日中楽しみました！

Happy Halloween! We spent the day dressed in favorite costumes.

Teachers greeted us in unique costumes, saying

“Good morning!” The children showed off all the special details of their favorite costume pieces.

We went on a parade through the nearby shopping street, greeting everyone with “Happy Halloween!” and enjoying the parade. We had fun all day with games, crafts, and songs!

今年もHKI SportsDay 2025 が開催されました。
マーチングで開始した運動会は、ラジオ体操やダンス、先生が手作りしたビックバンツを使った玉入れ、小さい子達は保護者の方と障害物レースをハロウィンコスチュームを付けて楽しみ、大きい子達はコーンスタックレースなどをしました。
今年は初めて親子リレーにも挑戦し、大人も子供も一生懸走ってバトンを繋げました！！

The HKI Sports Day 2025 was held recently.
The games began with a marching performance, radio exercises, and dancing. Activities included a ball toss using handmade big pants made by the head teacher. Younger children enjoyed an obstacle race with their parents while wearing Halloween costumes, and older children participated in events like a cone stack race.
This year, we tried a parent-child relay for the first time, and both adults and children ran hard to pass the baton!!

【ある日のHKI】
この週はアートに触れました。指や道具を使って色を混ぜ思い思いキャンバスへ描きました。世界でただ１つのデザイン！この作品は子供達にとっても新たな感性を刺激された様子でした。完成後は、教室にキャンバスを配置し、ギャラリー展を行い、自分の好きなデザインをゆっくり見て回ったり、どれが一番好きかを発表しました。

This week we explored art. Using our fingers and tools, we freely painted on canvases. No two pieces were alike—each held the status of a one-of-a-kind work in the world. After finishing, we arranged the canvases in the classroom for a gallery session. The children took their time to look around at their favorite designs and shared which piece they loved the most.

この週は「オリジナルの恐竜」を制作しました！ベースの恐竜選びでは、自分の好きな恐竜や形をじっくり選び、色塗りの際は、「I wanna use blue on his body(ボディーはブルーがいいな)」「Is it okay to make a pink dinosaur?(ピンクの恐竜を作ってもいい?)」「I wanna use two colors! (2色使いたい！)」など好きな色を選び、自由に塗ってもらいました。完成すると、お互いで声を上げて恐竜になりきって遊ぶ姿が多く見られました。

This week, we made our own original dinosaurs! When choosing the base dinosaur, the children carefully selected their favorite dinosaurs and shapes. When painting, they freely chose their favorite colors, saying things like, “I wanna use blue on his body,” “Is it okay to make a pink dinosaur?” and “I wanna use two colors!” Once completed, many children could be seen enthusiastically pretending to be dinosaurs and playing together.

父の日に向けてプレゼントを作成しました！小さい子たちは、頼りになるお父さんをイメージした写真クリップを作り、大きい子たちは、お父さんへのメッセージとお父さんとの思い出を描いた大きなカードを作成しました。お父さん喜ぶかな？何色が好きかな？と考えながら作っていました。

We made Father’s Day gifts! The younger children made photo clips with a picture of their reliable fathers, while the older children made a big card with messages to their father and memories of him. They wondered what color dad likes and what dad would like, while making the gift.

今年も庭にプールを出し水遊びや、夏らしいカリキュラムをたっぷり準備してお待ちしております。
外部生は1週間から登園できますので、ぜひお試しください。

At our school we learn through daily life activities, learning and play activities exclusively in English.
This year, we have prepared a pool in the garden for water play and a summer-themed curriculum. Non-HKI students can attend for as little as one week, so please join us for your child’s summer challenge.
